LED Light Therapy with Celluma

LED Light Therapy is the application of specific wavelengths of light energy to tissues for therapeutic benefit. The energy delivered is then used to improve cellular performance. Light therapy can be performed with other therapies, such as cosmetic acupuncture and massage, to optimise the benefits and the results.

Light therapy is known for its healing and anti-inflammatory properties and has a variety of applications across many medical fields. Research has shown that the therapy can increase circulation, accelerate tissue repair, decrease wrinkles, decrease inflammation, improve skin tone and wrinkles, enhance skin texture and clarity, ease muscle and joint pain and stiffness, ease spasms and arthritis and kill acne bacteria, and much more.

What is Celluma?

Celluma is a unique light therapy system unlike any other low-level light therapy device available. The treatment is non-invasive, painless, requires no recovery time and can be used safely on all skin types. It is clinically proven, FDA cleared and medically CE marked.

Based on NASA research, Celluma delivers blue, red and near-infrared light energy simultaneously to safely treat a wide variety of conditions. Each wavelength is absorbed by different molecules that act as signalling mechanisms for distinct cellular processes. For example, some reduce inflammation and some kill bacteria, while others enhance localised circulation.

How does it work?

LED light therapy is painless, but you may feel some warmth depending on the colour of light used (blue is cool, red is warm, near infrared is warmest). The Celluma light pad is placed close to the skin on the area to be treated. Goggles are worn for your comfort during face treatments.

The length of time that LED light is applied will increase with each treatment as we see how you respond to the technique.
